Bake an Apple Crumble Pie

Apple Crumble Pie Recipe
Crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1-1/4 cups flour
Filling
- 5 cups apple slices (about 3 large apples)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Splenda or additional sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Topping
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine crumb ingredients. Using an electric beater, blend ingredients.
Remove 3/4 cup of the mixture and pat into a deep 9 inch pie pan.
Filling: Slice apples and place in a large bowl. Mix sugar, Splenda, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg together and add to the apples. Stir to mix well. Spoon apples into the pie pan.
Add chopped nuts to the remaining crumb mixture. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top of the apples. Bake for 50 – 60 or until apples are bubbly and top is lightly brown.
